Back in the Saddle

3 weeks into school and all is well.

Marin, 9, 4th grade
Jack, 5, Kindergarten (Yippeeeeee!)
Ell, 6, 2nd grade

And so it begins

We sent Marin off to 3rd and Ell off to 1st yesterday (Jack starts preschool in a couple weeks). We started the year off right by forgetting a backpack thus making us late. Won't be the last time I'm sure.

Just a thought about time passing me by. Last year...where did it go?! I feel like I just sent Ell off to Kindergarten and now she's in 1st. Do you know what this means? In practically no time at all Jack will start Kindergarten and all my "little" ones will be in school. How will that be? Sad? Happy? Lonely? Joyous? Liberating? Busy? I think a little of everything.

First Day of School Eve

School starts tomorrow.

I'm ready.

The kids are ready.

It has been a hectic summer and we will all be glad to be back on a schedule. This year I have two kids to get ready for school each morning. To cut down on the morning madness I've decide the girls need to chose their clothes and lay them out for the next day before going to bed. I told them this and here is what I got.

My favorite part...the drawing of themselves. Did you notice Ell's hands? So cute!

I'm glad they're excited for school. Let's hope it lasts.
