Emptiwashaphobia

Unloading the dishwasher.
It's such a simple task. Why do I avoid it? Why do I let the dishes pile up in the sink waiting for someone, anyone, to unload the dishwasher? I know it doesn't make any sense. Chris is also puzzled by my emptiwashaphobia.
Here's the thing. I don't mind loading up the dishwasher. It clears off the counter and the sink and makes the kitchen look nice and tidy. I feel like I've accomplished something. But when I unload the dishwasher what do I get? Nothing!! I've basically taken clean dishes from one place and put them into another place. The kitchen looks the same. Nothing has changes. There's no payoff.
The solution (proposed by my brilliant Mother-in-Law) .........
Two dishwashers! One for dirty dishes and one for clean dishes. I never have to unload. I just use the dishes from the clean washer until they've all been used up and transferred to the dirty washer and the cycle repeats. Yet another item to add to my wish list. Sigh...

That is a seriously brilliant idea! I’m adding it to my wish list, too!

I like the two dishwasher idea. My plan is to make my kids do it but they're never around when it needs to be done. It's a pain. All things involving doing the dishes is a pain. Great Christmas photos below, by the way. Love the webcam christmas sharing!

ooo...I love that idea. I HATE to unload the dishwasher. But I've solved that problem, well actually Trent's solved the problem, he unloads them every morning. :)
