Music to My Ears

"Mom, let's snuggle on the couch and read books."
Marin has always loved books. We used to sit on the couch together and read and reread everyone of her books. This was a daily occurrence. A bit painful I must admit but the payoff has finally arrived. We still sit together on the couch only now we each have our own book.

It will be a happy day when Jack and Ell can join this little party.
I can just hear the blissful quiet as we each enter our separate worlds. (quiet and separate... those words make me smile)

That is so great!!! I always tell myself that I am teaching through example... when I find myself on the couch reading a book (rather then other mommy duties) Looks like your example is paying off

Oh, I feel your wonder and joy. We have "family reading time" in my bed sometimes and my kids think it is extra special. The only rule is No Talking. Alice can't do it though. I give her one year.

I wish Madisen had that love. Try as I might she still does not have a love of reading.
