"Time rushes by like a mad swollen river" Part I

I just can't believe it's December. Seriously...what happened. How did we get here? In an attempt to slow time (certainly not because I'm lame and never got around to posting my Halloween pics) I've decided to take us back a couple months to October.

We have a local pumpkin patch which is very cute and fun for the kids. But I am so over it. By the time my 3 children are done with school I'll have had the chance to see their barn show at least 9 times. Some of you local mothers have 5 or 6 kids...how will you stand it?! This year I went twice. Once with Jack and Ell and Ell's preschool class...

The animals at the pumpkin patch/farm are always a big hit. My kids think it's really cool that I used to raise baby pigs for 4-H and show them at the county fair. I won several blue ribbons and even a few trophies.

And the second time with Marin's 1st grade class

Here Marin and her friend have lost their way in the corn maze.

I am not the coolest Halloween mom. We don't have any cool skeletons or dead people adorning our porch or even fake spider webs much to Marin's horror. But we do manage to find some cute costumes after rummaging through our dress up box...

and we usually decorate a Haunted Halloween House....

(beware the black frosting...it will give you really spooky teeth)
and we've even been known to carve a few pumpkins.

Happy Halloween! Or is it Happy Holidays already? I can't keep up!
