this has been my best mother's day ever. granted it is only my 7
th...i suppose it's all relative but that actually sounds like a lot. i think i enjoyed this one so much not because of the gifts but because this year instead of thinking back on what kind of mother
i've been (because i am not perfect and therefore i must be a failure, right?) i decided to delight in my children as they are today. and they are so great!! i love these kids! more and more i think children are sent to us so that WE can be taught, not the other way around. so i just need to keep trying and learn as much as i can...and i can do that without being perfect.
my favorite gift today, well there were two....first was ableskivers and black pepper crusted bacon for breakfast that i didn't have to cook or clean up and second was a hand made pillow from marin. she stuffed and sewed the pillow at school, brought it home last monday and has asked everyday since when it would be sunday so she could give me my mother's day surprise. after opening the gift she said, "now i know how to sew, mom, so if you need help i can show you how."

wow, i look really tired. i better go take a nap on my new pillow.

Cute. I look forward to reading more stories about your interesting kids and your attempts to live in the moment with them. Thanks for letting me know it is here.
Do you want me to add you to my sidebar or are you trying to stay on the down low?
if you want you can add me to your sidebar...i'm not sure how interesting this will be for most people. it's meant for the g'mas and g'pas who live so far away.
